Thomson and Lodato finish 1st and 5th in their heat at the Oakland County Championship

Possum Hollow picnic area was once again the location for the Oakland Country Cross Country Championships, but there were some big changes to the race this year.
To combat the spread of COVID-19, the meet was held over two days with the boys racing on Friday and the girls on Saturday. Each day had 4 heats of runners. The girls races on Saturday had 193 finishers.
The Clawson girls were assigned to the last heat on Saturday. Claire Thomson's time of 20:14 was quick enough to win the heat and placed her 27th overall. Abbey Lodato placed 5th with a time of 21:39.

The Trojans next race will the the pre-regional race on October 21st at Memorial Park in Royal Oak.
