Clawson XC Finishes 2020 Season at State Meet

Claire Thomson and Abbey Lodato raced in the D3 State Finals at Michigan International Speedway..

Both runners had been here before, but the race felt different this year. The weather was unseasonably warm, and COVID-19 precautions limited both the size of the field and the number of spectators at the event. Claire and Abbey were grateful for the opportunity to finish the season that had started in early August.

Abbey had a great race, Her time of 20:24 was 53 seconds faster than last year and placed her 41st out of the 247 finishers. Claire ran a 20:13 and was 30 spots better than her 65th place finish from the race last year.
