  The Trojans lost the 1st set 9-25 but had a thrilling comeback to take the 2nd set 25-23.  The next set the Trojans battled point for point against Shrine and had some amazing plays to stay in the set but came up short 16-25.  During the 4th set, the Trojans continued to pursue every ball, dig it up, set it high and continued to swing point by point but ended up falling 21-25.   Leading the way were seniors Meghan Shea with 10 kills, 12 digs, 4 serve receive and an ace.  Lana Wilder added 11 kills, 9 digs, 4 serve receive and Sarah McLeod added 10 kills, 12 digs, 4 serve receive and an ace.  Abby Genette added two digs and 3 serve receive, Elaina McDonald added 20 assists 3 blocks, 1 kill, Dana Moss added 2 digs, and 2 blocks, Mallory Coatta added 1 kill point, 2 blocks and 2 digs, Josie Horne added 6 digs, 1 kill and an ace, Sophia Snyder added a kill, Grace Fisher had a serve receive, Joslynn Ramirez added two digs and Cassidy Perry adde

  The Trojans beat Arts & Technology Academy of Pontiac in three straight sets 25-10, 25-9, 25-3.  Leading the way were seniors Meghan Shea with 15 aces and a kill point and Lana Wilder with 7 kills and 4 aces.  Sophia Snyder added 4 aces and a kill, Mallory Coatta added 3 kill points and 2 aces, Cassidy Perry added 5 assists and an ace, Abby Genette added two assists and 2 aces, Elaina McDonald added 3 assists and 3 digs, Addison Tikey added two kills and an ace, Dana Moss added an ace, a kill, and a block, and Josie Horne added 2 aces, 1 kill and an assist.  Great job by all! The Trojans advance to the next round of Districts at home on Wednesday November 6th at 7PM against Shrine.

Clawson JV Blue's volleyball season came to an end on Tuesday the 29th with a 3 match victory, 25-19, 25-23 and 15-12  Josie Horne had 7 kills 1 ace. Cortland Niezguski 1 ace, 5 kills, Sydney Love 3 kills,  7 serve receptions, Joslyn Ramirez 1 kill, 11 digs, and 8 serve receptions. Team finished with a staggering 209 aces for the season. Great job Clawson.

  After losing the first two sets to Bishop Foley 17-25 and 11-25, the Trojans rallied the next set 25-21 but lost the next set 21-25.  Leading the way was Lana Wilder with 5 kills, 8 digs, 1 ace, an assist, Cassidy Perry with 6 kills, 15 assists, 10 digs, Addison Tikey with 4 kills, 1 ace, and 1 block, Dana Moss with 4 kills, 2 digs, and an assist, Sophia Snyder with 3 kills & 3 digs,  Meghan Shea with 2 kills, 4 digs, 3 aces and an assist, Sarah McLeod with 19 digs, 1 assist, an ace, a kill, Dani Miss with a kill, Abby Genette with 2 aces, 3 digs and 4 serve receive and Grace Fisher with 3 serve receive and 4 digs.  Clawson ended the regular season 8-12 overall and 4-6 in league.  First round of Districts is Monday November 4th where they host Arts & Technology Academy of Pontiac at 7PM.

Wonderful weather, a competitive field, and lots of hard work set the stage for a lot fast times from the Clawson Trojans at the MHSAA Regional race at Coumbus County Park this morning. Owen Windgaston shattered his old personal record by nearly a minute.  His time of 17:18 earned him a medal and spot in the state finals on November 2, in Brooklyn Michigan.  Cole Wyckoff ran his final cross country race as a Trojan with his fastest-ever time of 18:32 Matthew McClain and Zack Campbell set personal records running sub-20.  While, freshmen Gideon Schneider, Louis Michael, and Jamison Crottie, filled out the rest of the varsity team today, with each runner posting their fastest race ever.   In the open race freshman Kekoa Newash set a personal best for himself while Caden Jones finished his career getting faster after injury and illness set him back in previous races. The Trojans lost a non-league game to Royal Oak 21 to 7 to finish the regular season at 6 and 3. Jordan Davenport scored the only TD for the Trojans on a 5 yard rushing TD in the 3rd quarter and Seth Kolber kicked the PAT. QB Elliott Groves lead on the ground with 113 yards and threw for 90 yards. Jordan Davenport caught 4 balls for 79 yards. Safety Nathan Heath had a key interception in the first quarter to stop a drive deep in Trojan territory. LB Graysen Carroll and DT DaShawn Williams lead all tacklers with 10+ tackles.

While the Trojans started off with a two set loss to Our Lady of The Lakes  23-25 & 8-25, they put everything on the line and fought back to win the next three sets straight 26-24, 25-23, & 15-6 with another late night finish.  Leading the way was Lana Wilder with 7 kills, 4 aces and 14 digs.  Sarah McLeod added 3 kills, 2 aces, 16 digs, 23 serve receive and Meghan Shea added 4 kills, 10 digs and 2 aces. Addison Tikey added 8 kills, and a block, Sophia Snyder had 2 kills, 5 digs, and Cassidy Perry with 14 assists, 12 digs, 3 aces, and 3 aces, Grace Fisher with 6 digs and a kill.   While the Trojans started off with a 1st set loss to Hazel Park 23-25, they fought right back the 2nd set and flipped the score 25-23 but lost the 3rd set 20-25.  While celebrating Senior Night, the crowd cheered the team on and the Seniors rose to the occasion and battled point for point in a stunning battle to win the 4th set 31-29.  They went all out to dominate the 5th set winning 15-8 to clinch the win.  Leading the way was Senior Meghan Shea with 20 kills, 14 digs and 3 aces.   Senior Lana Wilder added 11 kills, 5 aces and 15 digs. Continuing on the offensive side, Teagan led with 5 kills while Miller, Lucy and Lily contributed with 2 kills each followed by Evelyn with 1 kill. Great team effort with a great focus on serving.

The MAC Blue Championship race was at Lake St. Clair Metropark on Saturday.  The boys finished 4th out of 17 teams.  They were lead by Cole Wyckoff, who ran a personal best time of 19:03.1.  Owen Windgaston earned all-conference honors as well.  Matthew McClain, Zack Campbell, and Gideon Schneider rounded out the top 5 for Clawson.  Gideon dropped nearly a minute to set a new person record.   In the girls race Charly Werenka medaled with yet another person best time.

The Trojans beat Eastpointe 70 to 0 on Homecoming to push their record to 6 - 2. QB Elliott Groves scored 2 rushing TD's, QB Jude Mikula scored 1 TD, QB Evan Dow scored 1 TD, Roy Spielbush scored a rushing TD, along with RB's Hunter Garrison and Griffin White who each scored one TD. Jacob MacCallum had a 17 yard scoop and score for a TD and Joey Campana had a 37 yard Pick Six. Steven Chapman jumped on a fumble in the end zone in the first quarter. Senior kicker Seth Kolber was a perfect 10 / 10 on PAT's. Defensively, Joe Dale, Da'Shawn Williams, Dylan Huff, and Graysen Carroll lead with several tackles. Along with Jacob MacCallum's scoop and score, Steven Chapman jumping on a fumble in the end zone, and Joey Campana's pick 6, Shane Dunlap and Wyatt Roth recovered fumbles.

  After losing the first two sets to New Haven 11-25 and 22-25, the Trojans dug deep and swung hard to rally for the win in the next three sets 25-23, 25-20, 16-14 with the crowd cheering them on. Leading the way was Meghan Shea with 16 kills, 2 assists and 15 digs, Lana Wilder added 8 kills, 9 digs, 3 aces, Sarah McLeod with 21 digs, 5 kill & 3 assists, Dana Moss with 9 kills, 2 blocks, 3 assists and 4 digs, Addison Tikey with 5 kills, a block, assist and an ace, Sophia Snyder had 3 kills, 5 digs and an ace, Cassidy Perry with 29 assists, 4 kills, an ace and 27 digs, Abby Genette with 3 digs, Grace Fisher with  4 digs, and Dani Moss with 2 kills, a block, and a dig. Clawson Trojans won 2-1 against Lutheran Northwest. After falling in the first set, the Trojans clawed their way back to win the next two sets. Leading the way was Lily with 6 kills and 4 digs while Miller had 9 assists, 3 kills, and 2 digs. Teagan added 4 kills, 2 aces, 1 assist, dig and block. McKenna added in 2 assists, 2 digs and 1 ace. Jill played a great defensive game adding in 9 digs while Evelyn and Aubree had 1 kill each. Helping to gain the win with some awesome serves was Lucy who also had 5 digs and 2 kills.

The Trojans beat the Rockets of New Haven 46 to 8 to finish their MAC Bronze season with a 4 and 1 record, which is good enough for a 3-way tie for the league championship along with Hazel Park and Clintondale. This is 2 years in a row of being league champs! Scoring rushing TD's were Elliott Groves with 2, Davion Hall, Griffin White, and Jude Mikula each had 1, and Joey Campana and Graysen Carroll had receiving TD's thrown by Groves and Jude Mikula. Nate Heath and Graysen Carroll had INT's and Jordan Davenport and Shane Dunlap had fumble recoveries. The Trojans play a non-league game with Eastpointe this Friday for Homecoming and then wrap up the regular season on the road at Royal Oak next week. Go Trojans!

The Trojan beat Clintondale 27 to 14 on Senior Night and Youth Night to pull into a tie for first place in the MAC Bronze division. QB Elliott Groves threw 2 TD's passes and rushed for 89 yards and a TD. Jordan Davenport had 3 catches for 122 yards and 1 receiving TD and he ran for 61 yards and another TD. Davion Hall caught a 23 yard TD pass. Seth Kolber kicked 3 PAT's. Hunter Garrison had 95 tough rushing yards. Defensively, several Trojans played strong including DaShawn Williams with 9 tackles and 3 TFL's, Graysen Carroll had 9 tackles, Wyatt Roth had 6 tackles, and Roy Spielbusch had 6 tackles and 4 TFL's. BIG win for the Trojans who need to beat New Haven next week to share the league title with Hazel Park and Clintondale.
