Clawson defeated Clintondale in three sets (25-17, 25-23, 25-20) in the Division 3 district quarterfinal on Tuesday.
The two middle hitters led the Trojans, with Ava Richards totaling five kills and three blocks, and Brooke Sarvello added five kills. Katie Kage had 20 assists, three kills and two aces, and Laney DeKorte had 10 digs and two aces.
Lana Wilder had nine digs and three kills, and Meghan Shea had nine digs and two kills. Gloria Lock had six digs and four kills.
Clawson earned its first head-to-head victory of the season, and advances to host New Haven at 5:30 p.m. Thursday in the Division 3 district semifinal.
