Although the tournament did not turn how we planned, our girls did not go down without a fight. On Saturday our girls traveled to Fitzgerald to play in a tournament with all varsity teams. The first game was against Hazel Park, Cousino, Roseville, Algonac following. The teams came to play but that did not scare our rock solid defense with Sarah McLeod digging up more than 10 digs a game, followed by solid defense from Meghan Shea. Katie Kage setting up some amazing plays, leading Lana Wilder and Meghan Shea with some amazing kills. Ava Richards and Brooke Sarvello getting big in the middle with getting two blocks each! Great serves from Shannon & Sarah Starr and Olivia Conner. Great job girls! The girls go on to face South Lake away on Tuesday and New Haven home on Thursday.
