Mustang Cross Country Team Finishes Second at League Jamboree

The boys and girls cross country teams each took second at their league jamboree on Tuesday. The boys were missing a couple of runners due to injuries and finished just a handful of points behind Jefferson. Ray Lanfear was the top mustang, finishing 2nd overall with a personal record of 9:49 for the 1.6 mile race. Caden Jones took home a medal for his 5th place finish. Jace Meeks and Cole Wyckoff missed a top ten finish by mere seconds, and Nathan Shephard had a personal record of his own.
On the girls side, Elle Barnes lead the team, finishing 5th overall with a time of 10:31. Lucy Thomson finished right behind her, with Frankie Sines and Maddie Pfaff also taking medals home with a top ten finish. Lana Wilder and Calliegh McMillan finished seconds apart with their own personal records, and Sarah McLeod, Meredith Coatta, Charly Werenka, and Lucy Werner came in 4 in a row, all with their personal best.
The mustangs will conclude their season at the Dakota XC Carnival of Races on October 24!
