Trojans Lose: 1 - 2
The Clawson Trojans JVB volleyball team ended their season last night with a final match against Fitzgerald High's junior varsity team. Clawson fought hard and showed dedication and tremendous improvement, but ultimately did not come out victorious. The girls lost the first two sets despite tremendous effort and enthusiasm. Clawson teams never give up, however! The girls went on to play a third set despite losing the match, and managed to snag a 15-10 victory in the third and final set, allowing the team to end their season with that winning feeling. Overall, the girls ended the season with a record of 6-7-3. Way to go Trojans!

Trojans Lose: 1 - 2
All great things must come to an end, and such is the case for JVB volleyball's winning streak. The Trojans unfortunately lost their match against Lutheran Northwest in a nail biter of a tiebreaker set on Tuesday night. The girls supported the ALS association in Clawson's annual benefit game fundraiser. Clawson took the first set 25-23, led in kills by Ava Nason, Morgan Kleiner, and Alyssa DiAntonio. We unfortunately lost the second set as LNW stepped up their service game and defensive skills. In the tiebreaker set, Clawson came back determined to reestablish their lead.It was a close, hard-fought battle that ultimately ended in a 12-15 loss. The girls will play in their final match of the season away against Fitzgerald on 10/28.

Clawson's JVB volleyball team defeated Hazel Park once again on Thursday night, advancing their winning streak to a total of 4 games, and moving their record back into the positive! The girls unfortunately lost the first set 19-25, but never lost hope. Clawson came back with a vengeance in the second set, reversing the score to a winning 25-19. The girls entered the tiebreaker set with spirit and determination to gain the victory. Strong serves and a big presence at the net allowed Clawson to win the tiebreaker 15-11. Way to go Trojans! The team will go on to face Lutheran Northwest on Tuesday at 4:30 at home.

The Clawon JVB volleyball team added yet another victory to their winning streak in yesterday's match against Hazel Park. The girls fought tooth and nail for every single point, and it certainly showed on the scoreboard! The first set was won in a nail-biting 26-24 victory. The girls were down 3 players on their roster, but stepped up to the challenge in new positions to gain another W. In the second set, Clawson found themselves losing 17-23, a bleak outlook. The girls never gave up, and freshman Lana Wilder went on an outstanding 7-point serving run to bring us back to 24-23. The second set was yet another 26-24 victory. The third set was also a win, ending with a 15-11 score. Lana Wilder, Morgan Kleiner, and Abbie Roth led the team in service aces. Ava Nason, Alyssa DiAntonio, and Beverly Boggis led the team in offensive points, each with awesome kills. Calissa Gregorowicz stepped up in a big way to lead her team in running a 5-1 offense, a new skill for the freshman setter. The girls will face Hazel Park once again on 10/21/21, hoping to advance to a 4-game winning streak. Go Trojans!

Trojans Win: 2 - 1
The JVB Volleyball team added another victory to their record on Thursday evening against Bishop Foley. The girls played exceptionally well, demonstrating all of the hard work they have put in over this season. The team was led in kills by Morgan Kleiner and Lana Wilder, each scoring 6 kills, followed by Beverly Boggis and Ava Nason, each with 3 kills. Libero Sarah McLeod led the team in both digs and serves received. The girls won the first set in a nailbiting 25-23 victory, and the second set in an equally nerve-wracking 25-22 victory. Bishop Foley managed to take the third set, but the Trojans came out on top in a 2 sets to 1 match victory. The girls will go on to face Hazel Park at home on Wednesday, 10/20.

Clawson's JVB volleyball team scored a victory over Center Line High last night, 10/12 in straight sets. They won the first nail-biting set 25-22, and extended their lead in the second set to a 25-10 win. The third set featured a quick 15-10 win, bringing the set count to 3-0. The team was led in service points by freshman Alana O'Kane, who featured several lengthy serving runs and a total of 13 aces. Freshman Ava Nason made a debut as an outside hitter, and scored 4 kills. Freshman Lana Wilder also racked up 6 kills on the outside. Junior Alyssa DiAntonio had a great match, adding another 4 kills to the scoreboard. The girls will go on to face Bishop Foley away on Thursday, October 14th at 4:30pm.

The Clawson Junior Varsity B volleyball team fought in a tough match up against Warren Mott on Tuesday night. The girls lost the first set 16-25 and the second set 11-25. Warren Mott featured some wicked serves and heavy hitters that ultimately overpowered Clawson's defense. Freshman Sarah McLeod racked up 8 digs during the match and 3 service aces. Calissa Gregorowicz added 4 assists during the match, feeding Lana Wilder 2 kills and Morgan Kleiner 2 kills. Abbie Roth added another stellar block during the second set. The Trojans will go on to play their next match on Tuesday October 12th.

Clawson's JVB volleyball team faced a tough loss on the road against Lutheran High School Northwest. Freshman Sarah McLeod made her debut as libero, and led the team's defense with 10 digs and 5 service aces. Junior Alyssa DiAntonio had a great game as a right side attacker, scoring 4 kills and 2 digs. New to the team, freshman Abbie Roth made her volleyball debut in the middle blocker position and gained a block for her team. Freshman all-around player Lana Wilder scored 4 kills, 7 digs, and 3 service aces. Ultimately, the Trojans lost the first set 19-25 and the second set 20-25. All players demonstrated great effort, enthusiasm, and improvement. The JVB team will go on to face Warren Mott away on Tuesday, October 5th.

Clawon's JVB volleyball team faced Royal Oak High School last night, 9/14/2021. The girls lost the first set (19-25) after Royal Oak fought back hard from the service line. Clawson's setter Alana O'Kane provided 6 assists and one kill. Clawson turned it up in the second set, demonstrating amazing service runs by Ava Nason (7 aces) and Morgan Kleiner (5 aces), and a whopping 14 stellar digs by new libero Lana Wilder. Clawon took the second set with an impressive 25-15 victory. In the tie-breaking third set, Clawson showed great tenacity and outstanding effort, but ultimately fell short 12-15. The trojans will go on to face Hazel Park at home on 9/23/2021.

Clawson's JVB volleyball team took a tough loss to Warren Mott on Thursday afternoon in their first conference match. The Trojans took 1 set to Mott's 2. The girls demonstrated huge improvement and fought hard against their opponents. Ava Nason led the team in points, contributing 7 kills and 2 aces. Sarah McLeod led her offense by contributing 9 assists and 5 aces. Lana Wilder led the team's defense with 5 digs and a block. The team now stands 3-6 overall this season. They will go on to face Royal Oak next Tuesday at 5:30pm.

Trojans Win: 2 - 1
Clawson's JVB volleyball team played four matches on Tuesday evening, featuring one amazing win and three hard-fought losses. The girls lost 13-15 in a tiebreaker in the first match against Bloomfield Hills. It was a nail-biter! Clawson rallied in the second match to gain victory over Lakeview High in another tiebreaker, winning 15-11. Clawson then went on to face Grosse Pointe North, and lost again in a tiebreaker 7-15. The Trojans then faced Cros-Lex High School, an outstanding team, and unfortunately lost the match in straight sets. The girls faced some great competition and demonstrated how much they have improved over these few short weeks. The JVB team will go on to face Warren Mott at home on 9/9/21.

Clawson's JV-B team endured a tough loss to Royal Oak High on Tuesday night. It was a tough-fought match, ending in a tie-breaker set. Clawson was up in the first set, led by a strong net presence by Lana Wilder and Ava Nason. Clawson took the first set in a nail-biting 25-23 finish. Royal Oak came out swinging in the second set, with fast, strong serves and hard-hitting attacks. Clawson's defense, led by libero Ella Maliszewski, fought hard but ultimately lost the second set. Royal Oak finished the match in a 15-point tie breaker. The Trojans held their own against a strong team, and will improve from this loss. The girls will go on to face Lakeview, Bloomfield Hills, Cros-Lex, and Grosse Pointe North in tonight's Quint tournament.

Clawson’s JV-B volleyball team won their first home match against Fitzgerald High on Monday. The team was led to victory in the first set by freshman player Beverly Boggis, who went on a 10 point serving run to regain the lead. Freshman Lana Wilder ended the first set with a block, 25-19. The second set featured serving runs by Alyssa DiAntonio and Alana O’Kane and several kills by Ava Nason and Morgan Kleiner. Clawson won the second set 25-20. The third set featured stellar digs by libero Ella Maliszewski and awesome saves by Calissa Gregorowicz. Freshman Sarah McLeod went on a 5 point serving run to lead her team to victory, 15-5. The Trojans will take on Royal Oak High on 8/31 at home at 4:30pm.
