Roger Frey of Clawson passed away on December 5, 2023. A Clawson High School athlete & 1976 graduate “Big Rodge” was an avid supporter of Michigan Football, he could often be heard cheering from Clawson to Ann Arbor. His love for sports also shone through as he passionately watched the Clawson High School athletes compete at the City Park, where he once played in the '70s.
Roger's life was a celebration of family, friends, and the simple joys that brought happiness to those around him. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable bear hugs that touched the lives of everyone he knew.
A family man at heart, Roger's devotion to his loved ones was unwavering. His grandsons held a special place in his heart, and he reveled in the joy of being a kid again while playing with them.
In honor of Roger's memory, the Clawson Athletic Boosters Club has received generous contributions from community members. These donations will be used to enhance athletic experiences for the youth in the community, providing essential resources, equipment, and opportunities for student-athletes.
