Girls Varsity Volleyball falls to Detroit Country Day 3-0 in District semifinals

Clawson fell to No. 8 ranked Detroit Country Day in three sets (25-19, 25-10, 25-10) in the Division 2 district semifinals on Wednesday.
Alex Verner led the Trojans with four kills and three digs, and Charlie Verner had three kills and two blocks.
Aliyah Vesper and Jillian Liford each added two kills, and Gabrielle Kalcec had three blocks. Anna Smith had 10 assists.
Clawson came out strong in the first set, tallying eight of their 12 total kills in the opening frame, as well as six out of their 10 total blocks. However, Country Day responded and held the Trojans to only 20 points across the next two sets.
Clawson finished the season at 10-12-4 overall.
