Varsity Volleyball falls to Bishop Foley 3-0 in Division 3 District Semifinal

Trojans Lose: 0.00 - 3.00
Clawson fell to Bishop Foley in three sets (25-12, 25-9, 25-17) at home on Wednesday in the Division 3 district semifinals. It was the second year in a row that the Trojans were ousted by the Ventures.
Lana Wilder led the Trojans with eight kills, and Evie Liford had five kills and four digs.
Cassidy Perry had 16 assists, Sophia Snyder had six digs and two kills, and Sarah McLeod had six digs. Addison Tikey added two kills.
Bishop Foley advances to play Royal Oak Shrine in the district final at 6 p.m. Friday at Clawson.
Clawson ended its season at 2-22 overall and 0-10 in the MAC Gold.

Clawson fell to Roseville in three sets (25-21, 25-22, 25-23) in its final regular season match of the year on Tuesday.
Cassidy Perry led the Trojans with 16 assists, seven digs and three aces, and Sarah McLeod had 12 digs and two aces. Addison Tikey had five kills and three digs, and Evie Liford and Sophia Snyder each had five digs and four kills.
Hannah Chateau had four digs, Lana Wilder had three digs and two kills, Dana Moss had two blocks and one kill, and Ava McCliment had one ace and one dig.
Clawson finishes the regular season at 2-21 overall, and 0-10 in the MAC Gold. The Trojans next play in the Division 3 district semifinal at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 1, at home.

Three seniors led the Trojans: Evie Liford had five kills and five blocks, Ava McCliment had three digs and one kill, and Hannah Chateau added one dig.
Cassidy Perry had 12 assists and six digs, Sarah McLeod had seven digs, and Addison Tikey had four kills. Grace Fisher had four digs, Lana Wilder had three digs, and Dana Moss had two kills and two digs.
Clawson (2-20 overall, 0-9 MAC Gold) wraps up its regular season with one last conference match at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Roseville.

Clawson fell to Royal Oak in four sets (25-16, 25-13, 21-25, 25-9) in a non-conference match at home on Thursday in Clawson's annual benefit game. This year, Clawson helped raise money for the AV24 Scholarship, which was created in memory of former Trojan volleyball player Alex Verner.
Sarah McLeod led the Trojans with 15 digs, and Cassidy Perry had 13 digs and eight assists. Evie Liford had five kills, five blocks and five digs.
Hannah Chateau had eight digs, Dana Moss had four kills and one block, and Lana Wilder had four digs and two kills. Ava McCliment had three digs, Grace Fisher had two digs, and Addison Tikey and Sophia Snyder each had two digs and one kill.
Jaden Belanger had one kill, Alaina Maloney had one block, and Jodie Stevens had a six-point serving run in the third set.
Clawson (2-19 overall, 0-9 MAC Gold) next hosts Warren Mott at 6 p.m. Monday for Senior Night.

Evie Liford led the Trojans with 10 kills, seven digs, four aces and four blocks, and Sarah McLeod had 15 digs and five aces. Cassidy Perry had 26 assists and 12 digs.
Addison Tikey had eight kills and four digs, Lana Wilder had six kills and two digs, and Sophia Snyder had four digs and two kills.
Hannah Chateau had seven digs, and Dana Moss had two kills and two digs. Alaina Maloney had two aces and one dig, and Grace Fisher had two digs.

Clawson earned its first win of the season with a straight-set victory against Warren Fitzgerald (25-21, 25-22, 25-20) at home on Tuesday.
Jodie Stevens led the Trojans with 13 assists and five aces, Evie Liford had seven kills and three aces, and Sarah McLeod had six digs and two aces. Cassidy Perry added seven assists.
Sophia Snyder had five kills, Lana Wilder had four kills, three digs and three aces, and Addison Tikey had four kills and three aces.

Clawson finished 12th overall at its 45th Annual Tribune Tournament on Saturday.
Evie Liford led the Trojans with eight digs, six kills and three blocks, and Sarah McLeod had 12 digs. Lana Wilder had four kills and three aces, and Dana Moss had three kills.
Jodie Stevens had seven assists and three digs, and Cassidy Perry had six assists.and three digs. Sophia Snyder had six digs and two blocks, and Hannah Chateau had five digs.
Clawson began pool play with a loss to Warren Woods Tower (25-16, 25-10) before falling to Bishop Foley (25-17, 25-16) and Everest Collegiate (25-9, 25-13). The Trojans ended the day with a loss to MAC Gold divisional opponent Lake Shore in the Bronze Bracket semifinal (25-17, 25-9).
Bishop Foley defeated defending champion Port Huron in the Gold Bracket, Royal Oak Shrine won the Silver Bracket, and Hazel Park was the top team in the Bronze Bracket.
Clawson falls to 0-11 overall.

The Trojans fell to Utica (25-9, 25-4) before losing to host Port Huron (25-10, 25-11), and ended the day dropping both sets to Chippewa Valley (25-12, 25-7).
Evie Liford led the Trojans with four kills and four blocks. Hannah Chateau had eight digs, and Sarah McLeod had six digs. Jodie Stevens had five assists, and Ava McCliment had three assists.
Clawson (0-4) begins conference play next week at Lake Shore at 6 p.m. Wednesday, September 6.
