Trojans Lose: -

After uncooperative weather interfered with their races at the Popsicle Invite, Clawson finally got their racing season going with Algonac's Muskrat Classic at Columbus County Park on Friday night.
163 boys competed in the Division 2-3-4 races, and sophomore Owen Windgaston had the 34th fastest time.  His 19:08 for the 5k was the top time for the Trojans.  Senior Cole Wyckoff was the second fastest Trojan, setting a personal record for himself.  His 19:42 was 18 seconds faster than his previous best.  The boys team has 5 freshman competing this season.  This was their first time competing at the 5k distance on a cross country course.  Zack Campbell led the freshman group finishing just behind sophomore Matthew McClain's 20:31 time.

The girls team is still searching for a 5th runner, but returning quartet of Charly Werenka, Elizabeth Schneider, Lucy Thomson, and Calleigh McMillan all had solid performances, led by Charly's personal record of 26:12.

The Trojans will head to Lake St. Clair Metropark next Tuesday where they will host the first MAC Blue Jamboree.
